Conference Sponsorships for Medical, Nursing and Allied Health students

Rural Health West is offering Medical, Nursing and Allied Health students currently studying at a Western Australian University the opportunity to apply for a sponsorship to attend a conference or educational workshop relevant to their study and health profession.

To apply for sponsorship students must read the conference sponsorship application guidelines, download and complete the conference sponsorship application form and return it to the Future Workforce Project Officer prior to Wednesday 30 May 2018.

Please note funding available is limited. Applications will be processed as soon as received. Successful applicants will be notified within a week of submitting their application.

About the sponsorships

Sponsorships are valued up to a maximum of $2,000 per applicant and can be used to contribute to the course or conference attendance/registration fee, association travel and accommodation. 

Sponsorships may be used for a conference or educational workshop being undertaken between 1 January 2018 and 30 June 2018. 

Eligibility requirements

Students must be:

  • Currently enrolled to study at one of the following Universities; Curtin University, Edith Cowan University, Murdoch University, The University of Notre Dame Fremantle, or The University of Western Australia.
  • Currently studying in a full time or part time capacity. 
  • Studying one of the disciplines listed below.

- Audiology
- Chiropractor
- Dietetics/Nutrition
- Health Science/Health Promotion
- Medicine
- Nursing and Midwifery
- Occupational therapy
- Paramedicine

- Pharmacy
- Physiotherapy
- Podiatrist
- Psychology
- Social work

Rural Health West Aboriginal Health Conference 2018

Are you interested in a complimentary registration to attend the Rural Health West Aboriginal Health Conference? 

Rural Health West is offering 12 complimentary registrations for university students studying a health-related discipline to attend the Rural Health West Aboriginal Health Conference to be held on 7 and 8 July 2018 at the Parmelia Hilton Perth.

Subsidised student registration 

Rural Health West is also offering subsidised registration to all students to attend the conference. 

Subsidised registration fee is $230 per student. 

Please note students who wish to attend will need to download and complete the registration form. 

Eligibility 

  • Current (2018) member of AIDA
  • Junior doctor (intern, PGY2, PGY3)

Applicants will need to send their response to the following (in 300 words or less):
Why do you wish to attend the Rural Health West Aboriginal Health Conference and what benefits will you gain from attending.

The successful sponsorship recipient will be required to provide a one-page report following the conference outlining their experience and learnings.
